driving...

I dun get everybody... what the hell they keep saying that you can now only take get your driving license at 21??? IT IS STILL AT 18...

the official traffic police info site for driving ... look at the age... it is still 18...

here is the road traffic act...

i will quote from the road traffic act, part IV, act no. 62. Restriction on driving by young persons
(1) A person below the age of 18 years shall not drive a motor vehicle on a road.

(2) A person who has attained the age of 18 years but who is below the age of 21 years shall not drive a heavy locomotive, light locomotive, motor tractor or heavy motor car on a road.

(3) The burden of establishing his age shall rest on the applicant for a driving licence.

(4) A person who drives or causes or permits any person to drive a motor vehicle in contravention of this section shall be guilty of an offence.
(5) A person prohibited by this section by reason of his age from driving a motor vehicle or a motor vehicle of any class shall, for the purposes of Part II, be deemed to be disqualified under the provisions of that Part from holding or obtaining any licence other than a licence to drive such motor vehicles, if any, as he is not by this section forbidden to drive.

as u can see the act have not been change by a bill or etc since jan 1999. so please people who are 18 this year, go and get your license now. Before they pass the bloody bill, [which is est. to be done next year]. And the govt will not be so dumb. the reason for the increase in accidents are caused by this group of people:

1. the elitist kids whose the parents can pay an expensive, powerful, fast first car for them.
2. the rich and dumb kids whose parents can pay an expensive, powerful, fast first car for them.
3. idiots that mod their 1st car in to a drifter or etc...
4. people who got their license in their 20s and brought there own expensive, powerful, fast car....
5. idiots who race...

look at the middle car folks... u think they can race? Even if i got my license. I will only have my dad's matrix to drive around. You think i want to wrack my dad's car? although it is an weekend car.it is not worth damaging it. so listen, if u are 18, go and do the test... study basic theory before you are 18.
