What kind of photographer am i?

Really it been 4 years since i picked up my D40 from fukuoka's Yodobashi Camera on 21st December 2006... and well alot of things changed... In terms of life.. it was basically from O Level to aerospace, with 4 months of fooling around... then quit aerospace engineering for Digital visual effects as i gotten more interested in arts and design once again... and stuck in there till i am doing this 3D short film. Life has its up and down... so down that i was moodless, but well it was never that great... i still never had a better year that in 2007 since then.... [ yes the last 3 years was still shitty but getting better]

anyway on to the photography aspect...

on dA, they have this option to say what i am... the problem is i dunnoe what kind of photographer am i. I really shoot everything thus i should be a General Digital photographer, but i also shoot film. But these days i shoot more pano then portaits. but i shoot more people than landscapes... so what kind of photographer am i?

lets see --- goes back in time --

for 2006-2007 i was still not used to using a DSLR... photos ain't that great. till i joined my school's photography club.

even then i did not shoot much this was like during a 1 Day photo marathon by my club... [ ahh quite boring ain't it] then come the time when i went for cosplay events and started shooting cosplayers. and got better... overall 2007 was just me being a noob with a D40 at cosplay events making friends.

2008 was a better year. I gotten my SB-800  in dec 2007 and did some shoots for cosplayers... sadly my first shoot, all my photos were corrupted. due to the SD card

Shot hell alot of cosplay in 08 and i also went back to film after i found my dad's Minolta XD-7
and other stuff

learnt how to use studio lights, strobes, did some light trail works that i never publish...

and at the end of 08 i gotten interested in shooting production stills and gigs.

In 09, i shot lot of non-cosplay related stuff [ maybe due to i was running a cosplay event.]

And well shot alot more gigs, portaits, school work [like the one above]. Had my mac stolen during the 2nd week of school [ and it was right after a cosplay shoot that the series i considered as a curse to me] *vampire knights and me dun go well*

and yes panoramas. I started from being bored waiting for someone at Orchard MRT [120º] to taking the last few photos of the photography club house before it was torn down [180º] to punggol before punggol fields was gone [360º]

It was the same time period when my photos gotten to have more concept behind them and they got darker and more emo... during the same period... i slowly gotten poison by the school D300 that i using the money that i saved up for an upgrade [which was from a D80 to D300 to a D300s]

I got my D300s after AFA 09 but just before that i brought a 35mm f/1.8 JUST for a photoshoot

After gotten the D300s, I started to school behind the screens videos too.

Went to beijing for a holiday, which made me realised... my eyes ain't that good. i could not catch what i want.

and photography went down hill in 2010. I got burnt out thanks to school work.

Other than more panoramas [ coz i find it very peaceful], some concerts and events that i was working for. and shoots i did with/for lenne  and  the fashion competition that she won -> http://aetienne.net/tag/singaporesnextfashionsuperblogger and some production stills AND alot of food as i carry my camera to where i eat... 2010 was really dry. I had shot and upload like only 21 pics over the last 6 months and u can see most of them are panoramas [ well i did do some shoots but damn i am not really happy with them or need to go and find them like on lenne's blog ]

-------------------

whao that was alot of photos...

well i really have improved and learnt way more stuff than in 07, but really what kind of photographer am i?
I shot weddings before and hated the feeling.
i covered gigs but i never gotten any official media pass. [my animax one do not count]
I shot runways but i sneak into the pit.
i shot fashion, but i am not artsy enough.
i shot production stills, but as my lecturers say, it is not really production stills.
i shot animals but they are nothing compared to what i see.
my panoramas are not that great.
and well my cosplay photos are just nicer than some other people that are coming up.
at the end of the day. i shoot everything and anything... but really being a jack of all trades and master of none is really bad...

So what am i really? I dunnoe
