idiot..

This happen like 30mins ago....

0310: started hearing periodical shouts that sounded like crows... which is odd as it is 3am plus! i only hear that at like 6am... next thing, i went to the window to listen carefully. it was not crows but was like "hawt.... hawt... hawt..." then some weird sounds.... like whining. crows dun whine..

So asked my dad. he was like quiet. then the hawt turned to help.
time to go down and check as i cannot see from my window. and my dad was smart. no phone and no IC he went down...

for me... i grab my phone, my wallet, my cam, flash, batts and SD card...

0315:went down to second floor and look out. see nothing, but the screams sounded from sajc... my dad got lazy and wanted to go up. -.-
In the end. the shouts reappeared.

when down headed to sajc side. see nothing but the shouts stop. but look in the water, circular ripple pattern. If you did life saving, that equals some one in the water... shouted at her, no reply. [ too late?] nah, she was still there... -.-

0318:called the cops. and tell them potong pasir ave 3 [which is only 1.5 km long with ONE bus stop and bridge] and they still get lost... 2 cars went to sajc... -.-
well before they appeared... my dad and i realised one idiot thing we did... no torchlight.
so i use my flash and model light the place. [idiot action 2, SB-800 dun have a range of 30m] and for the obvious it did not work. i waited on the bridge, my dad went to the river edge. As we waited for the cops [about 8mins after the call], that person managed to get oriented and managed to swim[?] back toward my dad. which he help to pull her in to the shore. from that range. we could see that she was a old indian granny. [no wonder my english did not reach her. shouted damn loud earlier which caught my neighbour attention]. My dad talked to her in english, no reply. so malay. then she started talking.

2mins after she was on the shore. and climbed over the ledge to the park connector path and sat at the bench, the cops arrive. [the first 2 went to sajc/ ave 1 side, and i told them ave 3 the bus stop and bridge.] [baka action 3]

0325:i called my mom to tell her no problems so she can stay at home. but she kiasu and came down too. right before the 3rd police car arrived. at the correct location i told them. they thought that the victim was still in the water... [officers, you took 8mins to come, for the obvious reason we tried to save her]
then 2 more police car appeared and the officers in the 2 cars at ave 1 was slowly walking toward the bridge [see, it is far]

well 5 cars for a granny who managed to swim to the edge, and climb up the slope and climb over the railing... that is odd. then last was the ambulance [0335] by that time one of the officer had both my and my dad's statements down. [which i can tell you, his was very off]. had to wait in the cold for 10mins before we were let off coz my dad wanted to watch soccer... -.-

as we were walking back. jess sms me.
"hey, isaw u, just now, haha...
wat happened? bridge ther?"


now wonder y the blog was titled idiot?

i will list it down.

1. no ID and phone: how to call the cops? if it is a gang got to call and run. and even it is my first time having my statement taken at a scene and calling 999, it is obvious that they will check ID...

2. i bring my cam but no pics...: but the flash did not work! *got time to set to iso 1600? set my SB-800 to 1/1 power? change my amp to f/3.5? and shutter to??

3. dun the police have a computer and maps on it?: when i said potong pasir ave 3, he should be able to location fast and if the maps are from all the government boards. they will know that there is a bus stop [one and only] and one bridge.

4. i said bridge and bus stop not ave 1.: u should get why i said this. the first 2 came 5mins after the call to the wrong place.

5. granny if you wanted to commit suicide why the hell do it from the edge? really if i look at the river current, it was downstream and slow. from her location i first spotted her. she was about 10 meters from the bank. If i wanted to drown. i will jump from the bridge. the force when the head hit the water will break the neck if it is head first.

6. granny if you wanted to commit suicide why the hell are you screaming for help? noisy you know.

7. granny if you wanted to commit suicide why the hell are you can swim back, climb up a 30 degree slope, and climb over a railing fence? this one i have no comment.

8. granny if you wanted to commit suicide why the hell are you stop screaming when i shouted if anyone there? dun want to get rescued?

9. granny at least say something in tamil or whatever if you did not get what english i was screaming.? damn i thought she gone liao.

10. jess ah... on your blog ah, [NOTE: she posted her post before i finished this post] say i kay poh. ain't you more kay poh than me. And i did my duty by reporting someone drowning. it is 3am in the morning. no one will know she was there, well except you and me....
