No turning back

I failed to mention that i finally gotten my grades for the last 3 years of studying. So i passed with a GPA of 3.33 / 4. not that bad but not that good, but that is not the point.

The point is there is no turning back for me, i will not be able to switch or jump from different type of works from now. No more crazy change like from Engineering to Visual effects. I am going to stay in this creative line from now till forever.

But that is not the real point of this post.

The real reason behind it is that i finally gotten my AFD 50mm f/1.4 lens. after nearly a month without my 35mm f/1.8. Here are some test shots taken on the way home. Only thing I do not like is the cheapo filter  that came with it [from the shop].

The Whitest Boy Alive.

The main reason I traveled up north and nearly got lost was just to catch the Whitest Boy Alive, LIVE at MIST club, KL.

MIST club reminds me of ZOUK but with way better sound system and more human smoke machines [ people were lighting up inside and puffing away as the gig was going on lol], but i have to say the Malaysian crowd was awesome, been to afew gigs back home, and crowd are as dead as they are.

I did not managed to get the name of the openning band but they were not bad themselves.

But well we all know why we are there at this ulu club that was nested next to Malaysia's 'SPH' and a housing estate [ Think Braddell ]. The Whitest Boy Alive were GREAT!. I was expecting more like a chill-lax gig, but some how we grooving away to Erlend singing, awesome bass-line by Marcin and the band antics. The live was lively and thank god that actually caught them in KL rather than with MGMT in Singapore, where they are only doing a 45mins Opening Set for MGMT in a lousy concert hall.

After the gig, Lenne and I found out we ain't the only Singaporeans there. We found Fiona and her friend, Justin waiting outside the club for the band. We ended up going for supper at Devi's Corner to /stalk/ the band since we actually missed a meet and greet session by TOPMAN earlier in the day...

I cancelled my 1 month Japan trip thanks to the quake, radiation issue [ not that i mind, it is my parents], YEN is up. and bloody NS enlistment date is not out yet.
I threw out the crazy 3 days Hong Kong trip as it cost a bomb.

BUT hey i am fly off to KL later, to see the Whitest boy alive LIVE and taking the train back to SG before they stop having train services to Singapore.

Okay back to packing and YAY finally a HOLIDAY.

Finally my Senjyogahara figure have arrived from japan.

i am turning to an audiophile

I finally gotten my portable amp and a new set of earphones...

but looking back i maybe an audiophile since i was in secondary school... [ skip the photos if u dun want to read my lousy writings ]

Back in 03-04 [Sec 1] i started making my own mix tapes of songs with my old Mini-disk player... [refer to the dry cabi post]. i was using some crappy old SONY earphones that i found at home... which i suspect was older than me * as usual*

After that player, was my Sony Ericsson W550i followed by W800 [lost] then W850. Due to the fact that i had to use the SE earphones i did not get any headphones till my Japan trip... when i brought a SONY MDR-EX 70SL in-ear phones and a Sony MDR-D333LW Headphones which was only found in Japan.... The D333LW was quite cool as the wire is retractable... it spoilt after 2 years thanks to the cable gotten disconnected.

I started gaming in 06-07 thus i gotten the Creative Fatal1ty Headset. Good bass but very heavy and my ears can't take the heat when i am not using it in an aircon room. in between 07-08 i was using a SE bluetooth earphones. they were not that bad... but the cable died in 09...

Gotten a Cheap Audio Technica at the IT show in early 09. Can't remember what model and then my SQ5 at the end of 09.

Been using my SQ5 since then plus the ipod earphones that i got with my ipod touch 32GB 3rd gen in Sep 2010. Not long after that Chris brought me to Jaben to get poisoned by a $400 amp and $200++ earphones...

and finally after 4 months and 6 trips to Jaben to test amps and earphones...

i have settled with the Ordnance .25 amp and Jays A-JAYs TWO earphones... Not a bad set up as the Ordnance .25 is also a DAC and the A-Jays Two is quite bassy... would had gone with Jays Three if it was not too clear and crispy that i can hear all the lousy encoding... ya i can heard the different between a 320kbps track and a 192kbps track with the amp and the jays 3....

oh wells i will say if you need to get any headphones or earphones, go to Jaben at The Adelphi. just expect it to be crowded on fridays and weekend.
